HIVE Foundation in Selaiyur in Tambaram was started by J Sharon Mercy as a non-governmental and non-profit organ
ization in the year 2005 in to help women who were affected by HIV and were neglected by their families.
Mercy says she gave these women shelter and care so that they became capable and independent.
In recent years, this organization has started different programmes and projects.

In recent years, this organization has started different programmes and projects.
One is for children who are affected by HIV and who are left behind by their parents.Today there are 20 children who get their food,shelter and education at this 'home'.
Free medical camps and some awareness programs for the people of rural areas are also held by this NGO, It also has camps for NCC cadets and school students.
