Quiet scene at Alwarpet booth

On polling day, the booth at the campus of Chennai Corporation Assistant Engineer’s Office on C P Ramaswamy Road, Alwarpet was not very crowded at about 11 a.m. when we visited it.

A 21 year old college student who came in said she was voting for the first time.

"I finally chose a candidate because I had not much of a choice," said a 61 year old woman.

Policemen kept a watch but everything seemed fine here.
