Messy method of clearing drains

Workers of Metrowater who clean the drains are creating a mess because of the way they do this job. They remove the silt and dirt from the drains and then dump this on the pavements and on the street side.

Evidence of this was seen on Dr. Ranga Road in Alwarpet on Tuesday morning.

They left behind heaps of sewage dirt on the platforms making life difficult for the pedestrians. Also, the waste created a bad odor. The sewage which was thrown on the roadside kept spreading all over as bikes and cars ran over it. 

The workers came back to clean up the place.  But many spots remained dirty.
