Sudden rain shows up potholes on this Vadapalani street

By Pooja Ravikrishnan

The sudden rain in Chennai has created problems for pedestrians and motorists in Vadapalani. One example is the condition of K.G. Street.

On Tuesday morning, there were pools of rainwater across the street. The water had filled into the many potholes on this busy street

Local resident Nalini says that the condition has been
like this since the time she moved here two years ago.

The street does not have a side walk.

To avoid the potholes and depressions, motorists move to the sides of the street and pedestrians are at risk.

“Officials have said that a cement road will be laid soon. But it
has been 3 months since.” says Ravi, another resident of the street.
